Do I have to transfer my domain registration too?

It's not required to transfer your domain registration in order to transfer your hosting account. However, to make it easier for you to manage every aspect of your Web site and get the support you need, we recommend your domain registration and hosting comes from the same provider.


Is the transfer process very complicated?

The transfer process is not difficult. You can see the steps of the transfer process by clicking here. However, the process can seem overwhelming, so when you call and switch your Web site to NetNation, a dedicated support professional will walk you through the process.



Will there be downtime when I transfer my hosting account?

Some downtime is possible. To prevent the risk of your site being down, we send you a temporary URL where you can upload your site so that it is available during the 24-72 hour DNS propagation period. We also recommend that you wait to cancel your account with your previous provider until the transfer process is complete.



Do you support PHP, MySQL, Frontpage extension, SSL, CGI, Miva merchant?

Can I transfer my Miva store from another hosting company?

Yes, you can.



Do I need to cancel my account with my previous hosting provider to avoid being charged?

Yes, your previous hosting company will not be aware that you've switched providers until you close your account with them. For your own security, NetNation cannot cancel your account for you. We do recommend, however, that you wait to cancel your account until the transfer process is complete to minimize the risk of your site being down.
