Deleting an email address

You can delete email aliases and the default email address. You cannot delete an email address that is associated with an actual user account. If you need to delete one of these addresses, you must delete the user account in the Users/Passwords section of AccountManager. For details, see Deleting a user account.


When you delete one of your aliased email addresses, any emails that are sent to that address after you delete it can be delivered to your default, or "catch all," mail box. If you have deleted your default address (for details, see Deleting your default email address) then any incoming messages will be returned as undeliverable.

To delete an email address:

  1. In AccountManager, click Email. The Email Management page appears.
  2. In the Email Addresses box, locate the email address you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete to the right of the email address.
  4. When prompted to confirm deletion, click OK.
